Le Café De Paris wasn't our first choice for this particular Sunday but with two screaming kids and the hour and ten minute wait for Goldy's was out of the question along with the fact that my younger brother was in town, we decided to walk the two blocks to Le Cafe De Paris.
Upon walking in and seeing the fresh bread in baskets on the wall that made me smile and think if I was in Paris this is what a cafe would look like. The hostess was quite rude, she was trying to squeeze us in to a table for 4 when there was 6 of us, mind you they were not busy looking over they had a few tables against the wall I asked if we could just push 2 tables together thats when she let this little comment pass her snotty little lips "with the size of this group we need a reservation". Okay I understand if they were busy and running around like mad people and couldn't keep up where a reservation would be required but looking around and seeing all the empty tables this comment was uncalled for just because she wanted to be lazy and nor move tables.
As for there food, the stuffed french toast yet again amazing I was very surprised it was stuffed with a blackberry and grape compote toped with fresh berries. Mom had a frittata that left something to be desired Dad was very much out of luck for his standby so he settled for the Nutella and strawberry crape wile my brother had a chorizo scramble. The boys had there country potatoes that were so salty they couldn't and wouldn't eat them.
The server was sweet and made up for her hostess, she kept the coffee coming even though she did for get about dads coke and the food was fast, however with a bill of over $57 the repeat trip may never come.
